Important Information for Applicants
First and foremost, thank you for your interest in Ascension of the Phoenix!
We have a number of guides on the left-hand side of our main page referring to
Guild Policies
, Boss Strategies, how to read WWS logs, etc. Please be sure to have read these before you apply as they pertain to you as a potential member of our guild.
Further down we have our DKP system and RECRUITMENT STATUS. If your class is 'Closed' we aren't accepting applications. We are happy with the players we have for that position and we don't feel that we can fit any more in successfully. If your class is 'limited' it means we are potentially looking to fill a spot and you currently might not see consistent playing time until you have proven your worth. If your class is 'open' we are struggling to fill that position to be a consistent raiding group. What it does NOT mean is we are willing to lower our standards to fill that position.
AotP recruitment standards:
1. Please have current knowledge of your role and build as it pertains to a raid. Know what is beneficial from your spec and do your research to maximize your dps/healing/threat output.
2. Read the guides provided to catch yourself up on our current content. Do not show up to a fight unprepared.
3. It is important to be raid viable for progression content. What this means is we should see the best gear you have for the role you are applying for, proper epic gems slotted, and highest level item enhancements available.
4. We require the use of our guild calendar on the website. Upon acceptance you will need to make an account and sign up (or note that you will not be able to attend) for EVERY EVENT. This helps us plan for our raid composition before invites go out. Invites only go out to those who have signed up.
5. Note you will not be handed anything. You will earn your DKP which will pay for your epics. You are to come prepared to raids: flasks and materials will not be provided.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, we look forward to reading your application.
-Brazelton, AotP Recruitment Officer.

What is your age?
What is your current talent spec?
We need a link to your character info so we can check your gear out..
If your character is on Eldre'thalas use this code
[charinfo]Name[/charinfo]
If your character is not on Eldre'thalas then give a link to your character sheet at http://www.wowarmory.com.
Remember to log out in your talent spec and gear for the role that you are applying for.
Why does that spec benefit the raid as a whole?
Are you willing to take direction from the guild leadership when it comes to playing your class and strategies for boss fights?
Please list your previous guilds and why you left them. If you'd like to keep these reasons private to avoid drama, please contact an officer in game.
Did you level solo or with a core group of people? If you leveled with a group of people, where are they now?
What crafting designs/patterns/recipes do you bring to the guild? Do you have a problem making those things for fellow guild mates?
Does your schedule allow for raiding 7:30 PM to 11:00 PM EST Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday?
Who do you already know in our guild?
How did you hear about us?
Why do you want to be in our guild? What are your expectations?
What other characters are you playing or have played in the past?
Our guild utilizes World of Logs to check the performance of our raiders.
Please link one or more WoL reports to show your performance as a raider.
How is your game connection? What is your FPS at during boss encounters?
How much DKP does an iLevel 232 trinket cost in our guild?
Do you have the following addons:
-Deadly Boss Mods or Deus Vox Encounters
-Ventrilo
-Omen or some other threat tracker
-Decursive (Druid, Paladin, Priest, Mage)
-Pally Power (Paladin)
-Druid Raid Assist 2 (Druid)
Our guild requires you to bring a full set of consumables to each raid (flasks, reagents and food). Will this be an issue?
Our guild requires use of the guild sign-up and forums to stay up to date. Will this be an issue?
Our guild works on the following principle: Raid before player. This means if the group comp or skill is stopping the raid from moving on or taking down a boss you may be asked to be replaced. Will this be an issue?
Why should we take you over all the other applicants we've looked at? (mind you this is your final chance to impress us if you haven't already)
